Getting started

The basics — what Zumido is, how it works and who it's for.

What is Zumido?

Zumido is a subscription-based creator platform where independent creators share exclusive content directly with their fans. Creators control their own prices and earn through monthly subscriptions, one-off tips, pay-per-view (PPV) posts, live streams and custom services.

Unlike open social media, Zumido is built around direct support: there are no ads, no algorithm games and no third parties between you and the creators you love.

Who can use Zumido?

Anyone aged 18 or over with a valid email address. Some content categories require additional age verification and a verified creator account. We don't operate in every country — see our Terms for the current list of restricted regions.

Is it free to sign up?

Yes. Creating an account is free for both fans and creators. Fans only pay when they subscribe, send a tip or unlock paid content. Creators only pay our commission on revenue they actually earn — there are no listing fees, no upload fees and no monthly subscription cost.

What languages is Zumido available in?

The platform is currently fully translated into English, German (Deutsch), French (Français) and Italian (Italiano). We're adding new languages as the community grows — you can change your language at any time from the language picker in the header or footer.

What currency are payments in?

All payments and payouts on Zumido are processed in euro (EUR €). If your card is in a different currency, your bank will apply its standard conversion rate at the time of charge.

What's the difference between a fan and a creator?

A fan account lets you discover, subscribe to, message and tip creators. A creator account adds the ability to post content, receive subscriptions, run live streams and earn money. Every user starts as a fan; you can apply to become a creator at any time from your account settings.

Do I have to use my real name?

No. You choose your own display name and username. Verified creators must submit identity documents during onboarding (KYC), but the legal name on those documents is never shown publicly — fans only see the name and avatar you choose.

Is the platform safe?

Yes. Zumido uses TLS encryption across the site, processes all payments through PCI-DSS-compliant providers, offers two-factor authentication, and stores user passwords as salted hashes. Content moderators review reports 24/7 and there are strict rules around what may be uploaded — see our Community Guidelines.

For fans

Discovering creators, subscribing, paying and managing your support.

How do I find creators to follow?

Use the Explore page to browse trending creators, search by category, or use hashtags to drill into a specific niche (e.g. #fitness, #music). The search bar in the header also accepts creator names and usernames.

How do I subscribe to a creator?

Visit the creator's profile and tap the Subscribe button. Pick the plan that suits you — monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual (creators may not offer all options) — and the cost will be deducted from your Zumido wallet. Access is granted immediately, and your subscription renews automatically until you cancel.

What's included in a subscription?

A subscription unlocks all of a creator's subscriber-only posts, stories and live streams for the duration of the plan. Tips and pay-per-view (PPV) content are not included — those are sold individually so creators can offer premium or one-off content.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, anytime. Go to Settings → Subscriptions, find the creator and tap Cancel. You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for; no future charges are taken.

What is pay-per-view (PPV) content?

PPV is content a creator sells individually rather than including in a subscription — typically a special photoset, a longer video or an exclusive direct message. You see the price before unlocking and the charge is one-off.

How do tips work?

You can send a tip on a creator's profile, on any of their posts, in a live stream, or inside a private chat. Pick or type the amount, confirm, and it's instantly added to the creator's balance. Tips are a great way to say thank-you for content you enjoyed.

Can I message creators directly?

Yes — creators who have direct messaging enabled accept conversations from subscribers. Some creators charge per message or per voice note; the price (if any) is shown before you send.

Can I get a refund?

Subscriptions, tips and PPV purchases are generally final and non-refundable — your money has already been credited to the creator. If you spot a billing error, an unauthorised charge, or you were misled by a creator, contact support@zumido.com within 14 days and we'll investigate.

Can I bookmark posts for later?

Yes. Tap the bookmark icon on any post and it will be saved in your Bookmarks for as long as you have access to that creator's content.

Can I download a creator's content?

No. To protect creators' work, downloading is disabled across the platform. Screenshots and screen recordings are also forbidden by our Terms of Service and may result in your account being suspended. The creator may also pursue legal action where their copyright is infringed.

What happens if a creator I subscribe to leaves the platform?

If a creator deletes their account or is removed, all active subscriptions are cancelled and you won't be charged again. You'll lose access to their content because it's also removed from the platform. Money already spent on tips and PPV cannot be refunded.

How do I report a problem with a creator or post?

Tap the three-dot menu on any post or profile and choose Report. Pick the reason that best fits and add any helpful context. Reports are reviewed 24/7 and are confidential — the creator never sees who reported them.

For creators

Becoming a creator, earning, and growing your audience.

How do I become a creator?

Sign up for a regular Zumido account, then go to Settings → Become a creator. You'll need to complete identity verification (KYC) by submitting:

  • A government-issued ID (passport, national ID card, or driving licence)
  • A short selfie holding your ID for proof of liveness
  • Your tax / business details for payouts

Most applications are approved within 24–48 hours.

Why do you need my ID?

To comply with anti-money-laundering (AML) and Know-Your-Customer (KYC) laws, and to ensure every creator on the platform is at least 18 years old. Your documents are encrypted in transit and at rest, accessible only to a small compliance team, and never shown to anyone else.

How much can I earn?

It's up to you. Top creators on Zumido earn six figures per year. You set your own subscription price, tip suggestions and PPV prices. Earnings depend on your audience size, posting frequency, the quality of your content and how you engage with your fans.

What's the platform commission?

Your exact commission rate is shown in Settings → Payouts. The standard rate is competitive and transparent — we apply a single percentage to your gross revenue, with no hidden processing fees, no transaction-by-transaction deductions and no minimum monthly platform fees.

What can I earn money from?
  • Subscriptions — monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual plans you define
  • Tips — voluntary one-off payments from fans
  • Pay-per-view posts — content fans unlock individually
  • Pay-per-view messages — locked photos / videos sent in chat
  • Live streams — free or paid, with tipping enabled in-stream
  • Custom services — bespoke requests you define (shoutouts, custom content, ratings, etc.)
  • Stories — 24-hour posts that can include tips
What content can I post?

Photos, videos, text, polls, voice messages and live streams. All content must comply with our Community Guidelines. Adult (NSFW) content is permitted only for verified creators with the NSFW flag enabled in their profile.

How do I get paid?

Go to Settings → Payouts and choose your method. We currently support:

  • SEPA bank transfer (EU bank accounts)
  • International wire transfer
  • Cryptocurrency (BTC, USDT)

Once you reach the minimum withdrawal threshold for your method, request a payout from your wallet and the funds will be on their way.

When do payouts arrive?

SEPA transfers usually arrive within 1–3 business days. International wires take 3–5 business days. Crypto payouts are typically processed within 24 hours of being requested. Larger first-time withdrawals may require a manual compliance review which can add 24 hours.

What is geoblocking and how do I use it?

Geoblocking lets you hide your profile and content from specific countries or regions. It's useful if you don't want certain communities, employers or family to find you. Set it in Settings → Privacy → Geoblock. You can block individual countries or whole regions; the change takes effect within seconds.

Can I offer custom services to fans?

Yes. Define your own services in Settings → Services — for example custom shoutouts, custom photo sets, voice messages or video calls. Set the price and turnaround time; fans purchase the service and you fulfil it through direct messages.

Can I run promotions or discounts?

Yes. Use Campaigns to create time-limited discount codes (e.g. 50% off your first month), free-trial offers or bundle deals. Campaigns are great for converting new followers and re-engaging lapsed subscribers.

How do I grow my audience?
  • Post consistently — creators who post 3–5 times a week see the strongest growth
  • Engage in DMs — direct messages massively boost retention
  • Use hashtags — they're how fans discover new creators on the Explore page
  • Cross-promote — share your Zumido link on your other social channels
  • Run free trials — limited-time free access converts curious followers into paying subscribers
What analytics do you provide?

Your Analytics dashboard shows subscriber growth, top-earning posts, engagement rates, traffic sources, churn and revenue broken down by stream (subs vs. tips vs. PPV vs. live). Data is updated in near real-time so you can see what's working.

Account & security

Keeping your account safe and managing your data.

How do I sign in?

Zumido uses a passwordless sign-in. Enter your email and we'll send you a one-time login link or code. This is more secure than passwords because there's nothing to leak, and the codes expire after a few minutes.

How do I enable two-factor authentication (2FA)?

Go to Settings → Security → Two-factor authentication. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password etc.), then enter the 6-digit code to confirm. Save your backup codes somewhere safe — they're the only way back in if you lose your device.

I can't access my email anymore. What do I do?

Contact support@zumido.com from a backup address. We'll ask for proof of account ownership (recent payments, IDs you may have submitted as a creator, or other verifying information) before changing the email on file.

How do I change my email address?

Settings → Account → Email. You'll need to confirm the change from both your old and new addresses for security.

Can I change my username?

Yes, you can change your username once every 30 days from Settings → Account. Your old URL stops working immediately, so existing links won't redirect — let your fans know if you have a large audience.

Can I have more than one account?

You can have one fan account and one creator account, but they must use different email addresses. Multiple creator accounts are not permitted as each requires its own KYC verification.

How do I delete my account?

Settings → Account → Danger zone → Delete account. Read the warnings carefully: deletion is permanent and immediate, your content is removed from the platform, and active subscribers are refunded for the unused portion of their current period. Creator earnings already paid out are not affected.

Can I temporarily deactivate my account instead?

Yes. Settings → Account → Deactivate. Your profile and content become invisible to other users, but your data is preserved. Sign back in any time to reactivate.

Can I download a copy of my data?

Yes — this is your right under GDPR. Settings → Account → Export data. We'll prepare a JSON archive of your profile, posts, messages, transactions and other personal data and email you a download link, usually within 48 hours.

I think someone got into my account. What should I do?
  1. Change your email password immediately
  2. Sign in to Zumido and go to Settings → Security → Active sessions — revoke any session you don't recognise
  3. Enable 2FA if you haven't already
  4. Contact security@zumido.com so we can review recent activity and lock things down

Payments & billing

How money moves through Zumido — wallets, payouts and invoices.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and selected cryptocurrencies (BTC, ETH, USDT). Apple Pay and Google Pay are available on supported devices. Some payment options may be restricted in certain regions.

How does the wallet work?

Rather than charging your card on every purchase, you top up your Zumido wallet once, then use the balance for subscriptions, tips, PPV and messages. This is faster, costs you less in card fees and protects your card details from being stored anywhere outside our PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor.

Why was my payment declined?

The most common reasons are: insufficient funds, your bank flagging the transaction as suspicious (especially for first-time foreign-currency charges), an expired card, or the card type not being supported in your region. Try contacting your bank to approve the charge, or use a different card.

Will my purchase show as "Zumido" on my statement?

Payments appear on your bank statement under a discreet descriptor — typically a neutral parent company name, not the brand "Zumido". Check the exact wording in your wallet top-up confirmation email if you need it for accounting.

Where can I see my transaction history?

Settings → Wallet → Transactions. You'll see every top-up, subscription, tip and PPV purchase with the date, amount and creator (where applicable). You can also download a CSV export for your records.

How do I get an invoice?

Every wallet top-up generates an invoice automatically. Go to Settings → Wallet → Invoices and download the PDF for any transaction. Invoices include your VAT number if you've added one to your profile (useful if you're using Zumido through a business).

Are there any hidden fees?

No. The price shown is the price charged. Your bank may apply a small foreign-transaction or currency-conversion fee if your card is not in EUR — those are imposed by your bank, not Zumido. Creators see their commission rate clearly in Settings → Payouts.

When do creators get paid?

Creators can request a payout at any time once they've reached the minimum threshold for their chosen method. SEPA transfers process in 1–3 business days, wires in 3–5 business days and crypto in under 24 hours. There is no fixed payday — you decide.

Is there a minimum withdrawal amount?

Yes — the minimum varies by payout method and is shown clearly in Settings → Payouts when you select a method. SEPA has the lowest minimum because it's the cheapest to process.

Are subscriptions billed automatically?

Yes. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, drawing from your wallet balance. If your balance is too low, the renewal fails and the subscription pauses — you can top up and resume at any time, but you'll lose access while it's paused.
